Rain and Sun

Another rainout last night for baseball. Ironically, it did not rain a drop after they called the 6pm game at 4pm, but the fields were full of puddles. I mostly slugged out and finished by book (not all that great) and then watched “The Hangover” which was funny but nothing ever meets the expectations of people RAVING about a movie. Today and tomorrow look sunny, but then 6 days of rain are forecasted. How could that BE?

Andrew and Little came over to do their passport apps today and we will pull Big off of his field trip here in the building today to finish his. We are almost down to 60 days....hope we don’t have to pay to have them expedited. Well, in any case, I have mine!! And as the famous Irish band says, I will go “with or without [them]”!!

  1. We hung out this weekend with people who also raved about The Hangover, so I've put it on my list, but don't you think it would be ok on video? I'm becoming such a crabby old lady that I hate going to theatres where teenagers are texting, talking, etc. and in general have no idea how to behave in public. I'm happier these days on my own couch with drink in hand.

  2. Well, this was a BOOTLEG copy of "Hangover" that someone purchased on the street in the Bronx (not me)- so the quality was not great (to say the least). I would say yes, wait for video-- it is a clever premise for sure, and did crack me up in parts. I cannot put it on the 'run, don't walk to the theater" list, however.

  3. I'm not sure about the in-and-outs either--if you figure it out, let me know! I usually save my theatre trips with films with important panaramic scenery, and I didn't think this fell in that category! Thanks for the lunch suggestions! Grilled chicken is a great idea, and we eat plenty of it all year around.
