Up late Friday making chicken salad and frosting cupcakes for Cassie’s shower. Up early again to run some errands and finish preparations. All in all, shower met each and every expectation and the food was tremendous, including Sheryl’s layered strawberry and romaine salad with chicken, gorganzola and pecans...mmmmmm. Sheryl and the girls stayed overnight- we rode bikes/wagons over to the Corner Store for ice cream and then roasted marshmallows on the deck. A late night, but fun. In the morning, we had waffles and zipped to Plattsburgh for the 3D showing of "Up!"– very cute with a great message. Boys headed back to baseball and girls headed to Target and on the way home, we encounter a thunderstorm with snow. Baseball practice got snowed out and we spent a cold and depressed night at home, watching more snow come down on our deck chairs.
Today is Big’s first game- though the skies are sunny now, rain is expected and I guess it might be a rain out. :( But I surely do have lots I can accomplish at home in the meantime!
