Well, this weekend had a little bit of everything as far as weather....Saturday was rainy and muggy and yesterday was sunny and dry in the morning, cloudy by late afternoon and this morning it looks like a monsoon could take place any second. I laid low on Saturday with a sick Little-- made pesto, sorted through the school work and papers that were 2008-2009 and took Big to a rainy mountain biking trip with a bunch of other boys. He had a blast. We went to John and Colleen's Engel & Voelkers opening and mostly hung around the house. Then yesterday, I led an outing club hike up Cascade and Porter-- a trip chosen especially for Little, who has never done those mountais, unlike everyone else in our house, and he had a fever and couldn't go. To say he was devastated would be an understatement. Hike was great- the day was gorgeous and though buggy, the perfect temp.
7 of the 8 kids were serious troopers and the other one was mostly fine after a bit of coaxing. In the afternoon, we hit Courtney's graduation party and got home early to relax. Patrick and friends swam. It was early to bed for me.
Today I got to work at 6:30-- Boss Man in NYC. Almost hit a deer that was in Martina's yard, and then drove through some seriously misty and creepy Cascasdes. Hope to walk 30 min with Chris at lunch and then I will leave at 2 for a hair color- you know you are in bad straits when peoples' eyes go to your gray patch while they are talking to you-- and plan to be home by 6 for baseball, which my parents are hoping to attend. As I sit here, it's hard to look outside and believe it won't be a rainout, but the forecast says otherwise.
