It's My Friday in 4 Hours!

Here alone at work today and leaving at 12:30 to catch a 1pm Elementary School Band performance and then head home. Assuming a baseball rainout, I have already arranged for a sitter and made dinner plans-- we will be going to a small gathering of people invited to try the new summer menu items at the Mirror Lake Inn from 5:30 till 7, then meeting friends for drinks, cause that's way too early to go home when I have a day off tomorrow (chaperoning field trip to the Adirondack Museum, see below).

Because I am co-chaperoning with a friend and parents cannot ride the bus but must take their own cars (AH, DAMN!! :) ) and because the ride home from the museum is right past my friend's island camp on Tupper Lake we are planning to stop and spend the night, and have the rest of our families come meet us there. Due to weather and busy schedules, this will be their first weekend of the season at camp, and so it will be a bit more of a work weekend than normal, but as THERE IS NO SUN FORECAST TO SHINE FOR DAYS ON END, that's just fine. We have enjoyed their camp many times in the sun and are happy to help. Just wish I could think of an easy dinner idea for camp that we could make ahead tonight-- I keep coming back to spaghetti and meatballs...but that's a bit more effort than I am up for tonight. Any suggestions?
