And Then It Was December.

So much going on- where to start?

2/3 of the way through a Girlfriend's Weightloss Challenge- started on Columbus Day and 10 pounds down. These pounds were gained through the year of injuries and through a lot of hard working out and REALLY WATCHING what I put into my mouth (harder than it used to be), I am FINALLY making progress.

Had a GREAT Thanksgiving at North Country School. After 3 days of events including dinner at the Lake Placid Lodge, an Arts and Academic Showcase (the highlight of which was Big's Intro to Interpretive Dance class performance)and a sit-down dinner for 275 with our family joining us, it was just awesome. We finished up the weekend hosting 4 Korean students (Hee Sang, Bill, Min Kook and Ji Hong) plus the Motsiffs-- the highlight was Bulgogi and Scallion pancakes for 20 when the Quinn/Carey clan joined us on Friday night! I think Big might still be tired, but he's only got another 7 school days and wraps up on the 15th for two and a half restful weeks.

Joy to the Children was fun (far less crowded) and we all enjoyed the St. Agnes Christmas Bazaar.

The Christmas shopping, she is done- courtesy of another awesome Girls' Shopping Weekend in Burlington- the 7th Annual! I'm 60 percent wrapped and half decorated with a tree and some fine tuning inside still to come. The Christmas cards could use some attention, but since I finally got the picture issue squared away thanks to a photographer friend (hard to come by perfectly square prints) I feel like I can work on them tomorrow and put them onto the cards on Wednesday when they arrive.

Highlights to come: a possible snow storm Wednesday, fetching Mom and Dad at Pburgh Airport Thursday night and sneaking in one last retail run,BFF Cookie Day this Saturday, sleepover with the girls that night and a Masons' Holiday Party on Sunday. The following week holds the 12 Days of Christmas Dinner at NCS, Keene and LP Holiday concerts and New Orleans Cooking Club Christmas!

We'd all like to ski-- both downhill and X-C, so it can't snow soon enough for the people in this house. BRING IT!
