Return to Sport

What a weekend. After the trip to the farm on Friday, we zipped to Caitlin and Megan's skating show. I then sent Little out for free skate and walked down to get Big from Brian's birthday party. When I got back, we all skated to Christmas music- totally hokey and fun.

Saturday morning, Chris and I baked cookies- sugar cut outs and chocolate shortbread, plus ginger snap dough and chocolate dipped pretzels.

Saturday night, the girls came back while Sheryl went to a holiday party with Natalie. After Subway and picking up Patrick at school, they helped me decorate the tree and get the Christmas cards assembled.

Sunday morning, I got Big back to NCS for a holiday progressive brunch, then I skied at Mt Van Ho. Did the Ladies Olympic 5k- fun but hilly! Great workout. Picked up Big and headed to the mountain to meet Little and Andrew for my re-debut to downhill skiing, which was at first terrifying and then enjoyable. The conditions were perfect, though the trail choice was limited. Having been to the gym and to Van Ho, I opted to do only 3 runs and leave on a high. Went home to work on Christmas cards, shower for Masons party (enjoyable) and return home to assemble cookie platter for NCS.

Whew.

This week- Spa/dinner with Sheryl at WFL, 12 Days of Christmas Dinner at NCS, Megan's birthday, 2 Christmas concerts, 2 Christmas parties and the start of Cloudpslitter. But I am NOT complaining, as I fully intend to enjoy each of these fun things!!!
