So, what do you do for a close friend and co-worker whose mother received a fatal cancer diagnosis yesterday? Just awful. And just overrriding a lot of holiday joy for us all right now.
I leave work today mid-afternoon to finish up shopping for random (non-gift) Christmas items before picking up my parents at Plattsburgh airport. Looking forward to some time alone in the stores.
Last night I cut out the photos for the Christmas cards- they still need to be affixed to the cards and the cards mailed. Why are Christmas cards such a project? If I could buy them with postage affixed, I so would. Also made a triple batch of sugar cookie dough and made two snowmen with Little, who is unbelievable strong. Cannot believe he pushed those snowballs as far as he did!
Busy weekend- to farm tomorrow, then Big to Brian's birthday party, skating show and free skate -- Saturday morning, Big to school, Chris is coming to make sugar cookies, ginger snaps and fudge dipped brownies and pretzels. Saturday night C and M are sleeping over and Sunday Big is back to school for holiday brunch. Andrew and Little are skiing-- I may x-c- because I can go one hour and be back to do cards, and finish wrapping. We then have a holiday party for Masons that night.
Only two days of school for Big next week- Monday with a holiday banquet and Tuesday with the 12 Days of Christmas Dinner which we are invited to attend.
