So I Suppose Now It's Summer

The second half of the weekend was fun, if not productive. Sunday morning I puttered around the house- not accomplishing too much other than a bedroom which is a bit less cluttered and some random unpacking from two weekends of trips. Around 1 the Pelosis came by and the Holmses as well, and we spent a long and glorious afternoon and early evening in the sun on the deck, with the fire crackling and mid-afternoon steaks on the grill. Big had gone to Henry's (where he had a glorious time) and the little ones played and swam.

Monday I got up and ran 3, then puttered a bit more while the boys had baseball-- hoping to make cupcakes for shower (which failed- I STINK at cupcakes!!) We took off for Owen, Copperas and Winch ponds with subs in packs and had a great 2+ hour hike in and out- everyone decompressed from a stressful morning of squabbling. When we arrived home, Sheryl and the girls came by, joined by Cooper who had experienced just about enough of the office, and the kids swam again. We cooked out hot dogs and burgers when John and Coll arrived and all 10 of us caught "Night at the Museum 2".

All in all, 2 glorious days of enjoying my deck- from morning till evening. Time to sweep it off and add some flowers to those extra touches. I think it could also use some cool outdoor furniture of the sitting room type.....

This am brought Day 1 of p90x-- and it already feels tricky to move my arms after all of those pull-ups and push-ups. Apparently, this is the last of the sunshine-- so be assured I will be walking at lunch and running during baseball......soaking it in, my friends. It appears I have lost my weekday running partner to p90x-- I will try to do both, fitting it in and around Dino and the dvds. Nothing to lose, I suppose!
