I say that with a smirk. It's snowing again and isn't likely to stop anytime this month. The boys are all gone to the mountain for the last morning of Cloudsplitter and Titan and I just returned from a great snowshoe at JBF. We leave this week for 8 days in Costa Rica with my parents- and it's been a hard and fast winter. Lots of snow, lots of work for Andrew with the expansion at the restaurant, and lots of activities for the boys, including school trips, mountain weekends and ski jumping comps, even travel team stuff. The winter went by in an absolute blur! And my house is worse for the wear. The season started with a surprise ski trip to Colorado for the kids-- and I guess it's ending with spring break. Though I guess we could all potentially get out there for a ski or snowshoe after our return from the south, no one will be heart-broken if we don't. At least I won't be. Now things will slow down for a bit until lacrosse season, and that's good news.
I often lament that my house isn't what I wish it was, organizationally speaking. And yet- when given the choice, I'd always rather recreate, socialize or feed my creative side by reading or even writing than organize and sort. I guess we're out there living life, not just playing house.
