Just simply cannot wait for Election Day to come and to go and to find out what our new normal is around here and all that it could mean....
Had an unbelievable dinner of farm-raised grilled pork chops, homemade sauerkraut and homemade applesauce. Just to die for. Though I am sitting here thinking about Jen Yu's pan seared scallops over parsnip puree at www.userealbutter.com.....
It feels more like November than October, but at least the sun is shining. Big is on barn chores at school, this being the second of his two weeks, so he is tired, and I think I am, too.
Finished "Girl with the Dragon Tatoo"- not as great as I thought it would be, but I liked it. Just started "The Ny Regional Mormon Singles Halloween Dance"-- heard author Elna Baker on NPR awhile back (hilarious!!) and pre-ordered book.
Tonight means soup for lunches, homemade pizzas and hopefully a long walk with the dog.
