Highlights:
A phenomenal trip with my girl Caitlin to NYC for her First Communion gift. You would never know that this way-comfy-in-the-city girl was really from a town of 900 in the mountains! Gotta love that!
A piano recital in which Big played his piece-simple though it was- with the confidence of Mozart, even after going first!
The Vermont City Marathon, in which my sister rocked the course, qualified for Boston and inspired me to know that, yes, indeed, I do want to do NYC this year!
An awesome solo hike up Cascade– to see the total uniqueness of the Canadian forest fire smoke that had blown into the Adirondacks (photo below). Thank God the winds shifted!
An unbelievable 3 days at NCS, including two sensational performances of “Wonderland” (see pic) in which every child shined and the costumes, set and energy could not be beaten, even on Broadway.
An end of the year in which I am indescribably thankful for this amazing school that I have found for my Big. Words cannot express. Summer, we are so ready for you!
A rainy Sunday home alone whilst the boys lacrossed in the rain in which I cleaned rooms and closets and my crazy head! I’m fitting back into almost everything....but for those 5 pairs of “goal pants” and one “goal skirt” waiting for me in the guest room. Feels so good to be a bit more organized at home.
And lots of good things ahead: time in Boston and Rhode Island this weekend on an upcoming 4 day trip, immediately followed by a 5 day hike in the White Mountains of New Hampshire!
Life is goooooood.
